Job Summary

The Supervisory Pharmacist provides leadership in the day-to-day operations of the inpatient pharmacy by hiring, training, developing, and scheduling competent staff. This role ensures efficient pharmacy operations and processes that promote excellence in patient care and safety while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Supervisory Pharmacist exercises fiscal responsibility in revenue generation and expense management.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

  • Licensure: Registered Pharmacist with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy

  • Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years total pharmacy experience preferred

  • Management Experience: 1–2 years preferred


Special Requirements

  • Communication Skills: Writing/Composing Reports

  • Other Skills: Analytical, Design, Mathematics, Medical Terminology, PC proficiency, Research, Statistical Analysis, and Word Processing

  • Work Schedule: Must be available for weekends, holidays, flexible scheduling, and overtime as needed

  • Equipment Operated: Standard pharmacy and office equipment
