Job Summary
Prepares and dispenses prescribed medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist while ensuring excellence in patient care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction. Adheres to all state, federal, organizational, and departmental regulations and guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:
High School Diploma or GED
Registered by Texas State Board of Pharmacy & in good standing
IV certification preferred
MTM certification preferred
Work Experience:
Minimum 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician; 2 years preferred
Special Requirements
Communication Skills:
Above average verbal skills (heavy public contact)
Other Skills:
Mathematics, Medical Terminology, PC proficiency
Work Schedule:
Weekends, holidays, flexible, overtime, travel
